Summary: This position is responsible for setting CAD / drafting standards, giving direction on drawing creation by outside consulting firms, and creating, updating, and checking of Engineering drawings generated within IGTS. Also responsible for the document management for both the physical and electronic CAD / drafting files, including naming conventions, revision control etc., as well as the future development of the drafting team. Other areas of responsibility and/or member of project teams include:Equipment standards and hierarchy for the IGTS CMMS program;Standardization of IGTS parts within JDE;Records and Information Management (RIM) company team supporting Engineering Services, Field Operations and Environmental Health and Safety departments. Quantitative:Responsible for multiple, individual capital projects up to $500,000Responsible for the administration of document management, control, and distribution of 6000+ documents.Responsible for all annually reoccurring drafting projects.Responsible for the design, usage, and future of the company’s GIS program. Knowledge:Project management and leadership, drafting and mapping skills and fluency in the use of drafting, 3d modeling, GIS and mapping software, drafting standards creation and maintenance, document management and control. Skilled in computer aided drafting systems.Practical design knowledge of high pressure natural gas piping facilities preferred. Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of mapping linear assets. Experience:Bachelor degree in engineering, GIS, or equivalent experience in architectural, mechanical, electrical and mapping/drafting fields.Minimum three (3) years of experience in an engineering, utility, or project management environment.Minimum 3 yrs. of design CAD / drafting experience and experience with computer aided drafting systems Minimum 2 years experience in cartography, and GIS concepts, capabilities and its usage in gas transportation industry.
