Lighthouse Professional Services is seeking an Auditor to join a client in White Plains, NY.SummaryConduct internal audit activities within the organization, including providing independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve the organization's operations. Internal audit is intended to assist the organization in accomplishing its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. Internal Audit is accountable for developing and implementing a risk-based internal audit plan, assisting management in complying with applicable internal control policies and regulations, and working with management to bring cost effective and efficient leading practices. Internal Audit has the authority to perform internal audit and consultative services, have access to necessary data when requested, obtain assistance of Authority personnel as needed. Activities may include audits of financial, operational, IT, compliance/regulatory, or strategic business functions and related risks and controls. May also include execution of special investigations/audits involving cases of fraud, waste, and abuse and/or ethical/regulatory complaints. Operate as ambassador and champion of the Internal Audit vision and strategy by demonstrating support and actively communicating with the audit team and the business.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate key risks and internal controls, develop and/or review audit programs/risk & control matrices, benchmark financial and operational processes and controls, and participate in annual risk assessment activities.Perform testing procedures including detailed tests of controls including sampling/confidence levels, analytical procedures, Computer Assisted Auditing Techniques (CAATs), to address risks identified.Identify/document audit observations, root cause, risk/exposure, and recommendations for improvement.Create high quality deliverables, document audit work performed and results by preparing work papers, narratives, and flow charts for audit areas in scope.Collaborate directly with clients and the internal audit team, participate in client discussions and meetings, and identify client concerns.Remain current on business and utility industry trends and NYPA-related strategic initiatives and share with the team.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of COSO, GAAP, FERC, FASB and IIA standards, and basic understanding of IT general controls.Ability to plan, organize, manage time and deadlines, and execute assignments on large complex audits.Strong verbal, written, negotiation, and presentation communications skills.Ability to acquire, analyze and interpret large volumes of data to identify potential audit observations and develop practical recommendations.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio .Education, Experience and CertificationsBachelor’s degree.Minimum 2 (two) years audit experience.Physical RequirementsApproximately 20% - 25% travel primarily within New York State.The target salary range for this position is: $95,000 - $115,000. The salary offered will be determined based on the successful candidates’ relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

We are currently seeking multiple Function Test Technician in Yonkers, NY.Position Summary and Special Duties:As a (an) Function Test Technician your day-to-day duties will consist of and may not be limited to: Job details. Performs all aspects of work on rail cars being processed through the Yonkers Facility and Commissioning Sites. This includes all electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, modifications and any other duties requested by their supervisor.The position entails working on rail cars in the final assembly process at the Brooklyn’s facility or at a remote site. The technician will use standard hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, etc.) along with his or her ability to perform basic troubleshooting utilizing multi-meters, clamp meters and PC based test/ diagnostic equipment. The technician will read piping diagrams, mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and electrical schematics as required to accomplish the job assignment.The technician will perform test procedures on some the following systems: HVAC, Brakes, Propulsion, Communications systems, Toilet systems, Trainline systems, Sign systems, Automatic train control systems, general functional tests, Hipotential tests, Wining Continuity Tests, Pneumatic Leakage Tests, Dynamic Tests, Burn-in tests, etc.From time to time the Test technician will be required to assist and support the engineering group on various engineering tests.The test technician will interact directly with the customer on a regular basis and must have to ability to communicate clearly the intent and be confident in his or her assignment. The test technician will fill out all test record sheets, create rejection reports and any other documentation required for the particular job assigned.Job Specification:Must have, at a minimum, the following:Previous work experience in the electrical/ electronic testing field.High school diploma or equivalent, technical school or associates in the electrical/ electronic engineering field preferred.Must be able to read, write and speak English.Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.Ability to read and understand blue-prints and mechanical drawings.Proficiency with all basic hand tools.Ability to use a multi-meter, clamp meter and pc-based test equipment.Ability to fill out all test record sheets and create rejection reports.Must be proficient with the English measurement system and be able to learn the Metric measurement system within a specified amount of time.Capable of working under pressure with specific deadlines.Able to work flexible hours, any shift,Ability to climb stairs and ladders, and able to lift, push, or pull a maximum of 40 lbs.Comfortable working in a rail yard environment.Willing to travel on business trips or field assignments.Familiar with MS office applications.DETAILS:Duration: 6 months Temp to hireLocation: Yonkers, NYSalary: $26hr.Hours: 7am -4pm.
