Position Summary and Key Responsibilities:As a Contracts Specialist you will be responsible for: Coordinating with Marketing and other department staffs on commercial and contractual administration issues for existing people.Prepare invoices to customers for the achievement of contract payment milestones.Administer spare parts and special tool delivery (including intra-company coordination, coordination with suppliers, shipping arrangements) and acceptance by the customers. Administer customer supplied parts delivery as well as return of non-conforming materials and follow up thereof (including intra-company coordination, coordination with suppliers, shipping arrangements). Monitor inter-departmental material control and management process to ensure timely delivery of rail cars, spare parts and special tools to customers.Prepare contractual change order documentations/proposals for negotiations with customers.Work with contract manager/supervisor of existing projects in negotiations with customers on commercial issues and tasks.Work with contract manager/supervisor of existing projects to prepare DBE, MBE, WBE reports to federal, state and local authorities. Assist in preparation and publishing of monthly, quarterly and annual project reports to Company Executives and customers.Assist in Marketing and Business Development departments’ preparation of proposals for Request for Proposals (RFPs) Assist in market research and data review and prepare reports and presentations.Participate in trade shows, conferences, forums and organized symposiums to represent Kawasaki. Job Qualifications:Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, with focus on Marketing or Business Management.Previous experience working in contract administration and/or project management preferred. Must be able to coordinate and execute administrative activities to effectively meet project deadlines. Must be capable of maintaining an orderly user-friendly electronic and paper filing system.Must be well skilled in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.Must be comfortable reviewing cost and financial information to prepare spreadsheets and reports. Performs visual inspection of parts and equipment to ensure conformance to quality standards and to identify non-conformance where it occurs. Performs all work according to engineering drawings, written work procedures, and verbal and written instructions.Uses scales, tape, calipers, micrometer, combination-square and other measuring equipment to inspect parts, equipment, and their proper installation to rail car body. Position Summary and Special Duties: As a CNC/CAM Programmer your day to day duties will consist of and may not be limited to:Job Summary:The CNC/CAM Programmer role is an important member of our programming and engineering team supporting production of precision aerospace components. This role acts as s the liaison between Engineering and Manufacturing (Operations) teams. You will focus on the process development and programming of CNC equipment including multi-axis lathes, Swiss screw machines, vertical machining centers, and grinders. You will split time between programming in a CAM (Computer Aid Manufacturing) environment and performing hands-on set-up on the production floor.Major Areas of Responsibility:Utilizing ESPIRT CAM software, develop CNC programs (g-code) that optimize the best manufacturing methods to produces precision and ultra-precision components. Work within the Engineering & Manufacturing teams to develop manufacturing processes, preferred tooling & work-holding, in-process deburring and metrology that will become the approved work instructions to Production team. Document all selections in ESPIRT tooling and datasheet libraries.Leverage parametric programming, macros, and CAM software to optimize programs across a family of parts.Set-up and operate production equipment during the initial process development of new parts. Determine ideal set-up, tool paths, material removal rates, finish, and yield. Train production personnel for smooth transition to ensure reproducibility in mass production. Manage programs and machine & tool set-up data within the company’s product data management (PDM) and Distributed Numerical Control DNC systems.Serve as in-house subject matter expert, participating in lean events to optimize existing released products that can reduce set-up, reduce machine time, or otherwise improve productivity and quality.Stay in touch with the latest manufacturing technology through the research of equipment, software, tooling, and gaging systems.
