Quality Control Technician II

The Quality Control Technician II is responsible for monitoring the overall process to assure that product exiting the process is correct. Monitoring includes mechanical and visual inspection of precision parts for dimensional and visual compliance to established procedures. As a (an) Quality Control Technician II your day-to-day duties will consist of and may not be limited to: Responsibilities:Applies advanced knowledge of GD&T and Metrology principles to program CMM’s/vision systems to ensure products meet specifications and drawings.Train and resolve issues and questions from the machine operators, Quality and Manufacturing Engineers as needed.Work with Quality Engineering to ensure that all set-ups and programs are accurate.Work with Quality Engineers on special projects related to tooling fixtures and gages.Identifies and drives cost reduction projects utilizing Lean Manufacturing principle.Works closely with the team to determine efficiency improvements.Create CMM programs using part drawings or modelsTroubleshoot and/or amend existing CMM programsTake critical measurements using gauges, fixtures, and other measurement tools.
