We are currently seeking a Casting Technician in North Haven, CT. for a client

Position Summary and Special Duties:

As a (an) your day-to-day duties will consist of and may not be limited to:

Responsible for safe manufacturing of casting.  Perform duties relating to operating the melting equipment, to melt, pour and cast a variety of parts using different alloys.  Ability to safely use all manufacturing equipment involved in the process.  Ability to operate all processes and generate the appropriate documentation, records, and reports.  Support quality, engineering, and manufacturing as needed.

Scope/Supervision and Interaction:

Caster technicians report to the Caster Lead, and support engineering, quality, and manufacturing as needed. 

Essential Functions:

• Melts metal, pours metal into molds, removes castings from molds, dresses castings, moves foundry materials, and cleans equipment and work areas.
• Moves sand, castings, flasks, or other materials about foundry by hand, using wheelbarrow or cart, or by loading them onto conveyor.
• Assembles flasks.

Qualifications:

High school diploma.  1-3 years casting experience.

Location: North Haven, CT.

Salary: $20hr. or $41,600
