Position Summary and Key Responsibilities:As a Tool Room Manager you will be responsible for managing the overall operation of the Toolroom, maintaining goals of cavitation, down hours, and expenses, and interfacing with other departments on a continual basis. This role demands hands on experience in tool and die, injection molds, or jigs & fixtures, actually building not just design. Key Responsibilities:Responsible for monitoring Mattec system for presses down due to mold repairs. Tracks mold repair downtime. Assesses mold conditions and takes appropriate action.Collaborates with other departments on tooling issues, troubleshoots problems on the shop floor and provides technical support when needed. Participates in root cause analysis relative to tooling issues.Establishes and maintains preventative maintenance systems and leads continuous improvement efforts.Assists engineering department in monitoring new mold construction, operations, and preventative maintenance schedules. Schedules mold repairs to ensure continuous improvement of mold quality.Works directly with Sales, Quality Control, and Engineering to resolve customer complaints.Responsible for personnel within the Tool Room including but not limited to administering company policies, tracking time & attendance, assigning jobs to Tool Room personnel, monitoring work performance I progress and quality of work, and performing training activities. Assess and address Tool Room equipment needs and maintain mold configuration listing. Attends, assists, and/or coordinates a variety of monthly/weekly meetings such as staff meetings, product design review, tooling improvement, etc.Acts as a Tooling Engineer and/or Tool Room GL as needed. As a (an) CNC Machinist your day-to-day duties will consist of and may not be limited to: Responsibilities:Set up and operate, with knowledge of desirable speeds and feeds for various alloys. Ability to safely and effectively fixture and set up a variety of castings of various sizes and shapes. Knowledge of standard G codes, ability to use various measuring equipment to verify work performed along with the ability to offset and edit if needed to attain a quality part the first time every time. The ability to program is desirable. Most of the work is done on castings in a high mixed low volume environment. As a (an) TIG Welder your day-to-day duties will consist of and may not be limited to: Responsibilities:Ability to pass welding tests for aircraft welding certifications Good mathematical skills Knowledge/Practical experience in aerospace environment Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documents Perform all types of TIG welding to repair/replace damaged areas and cracks on aircraft parts and fixtures. Perform TIG welding operations on aircraft components to meet NDT specifications and ensure efficient flow of work to meet production schedules and demands. Perform TIG welding operations on titanium, aluminum, stainless steel, and nickel alloy parts, following standardized working procedures and parameters. Work with Engineering to develop programs, determine new methods, develop parameters, and determine material type for new or modified products. Assist with developing new tooling ideas. Inspect weld for bead sized and compliance with other specifications.Blend, grind, or polish weld ensuring specified minimum wall requirement is met.Use calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges to measure repaired part and ensure dimensional requirements are met.Complete production paperwork. Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and machines.
