Hourly Rate: Depending on experience

Project Overview

This position will support the engineering team for cost estimating for Northern New York Priority Transmission Project (NNYPTP). The estimation will be based on the conceptual design documents developed by NYPA. The types of conceptual design documents that will be provided to the selected consultant will include but are not limited to transmission lines and substations. Estimations will be based on existing design documents and associated .kmz files to be provided by NYPA. No site walkthrough is anticipated.

Support and coordinate in-house estimating capabilities and assure adequate and thorough
review and analysis of estimates prepared by Architect Engineers/Construction Managers for
establishing high voltage transmissions lines and substations.
 

The types of conceptual design documents that will be provided to the selected consultant will include but will not be limited to:

For transmission lines:
1. Description of the scope
2. Kmz files, which includes the approximate pole locations
3. Transmission line design information, such as cable ratings, span length, structure data, conductor data, static/OPGW wire data, etc.
4. Transmission line drawings, which includes the existing and proposed route cross-sections, etc.
5. Desktop wetland studies, preliminary access roads, and conceptual matting

For substations:
1. Description of the scope
2. Site layout
3. Substation drawings, including
4. Substation one lines
5. General Arrangement
6. Section View Drawings
7. Structural Plan & Foundations
8. Protection and Control Drawings
9. Markups of any existing drawings
10. Bill of Materials
11. Civil Grading Plans
