DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer 

Responsibilities:

• Work with development and QA teams to provision, automate, and tune multiple pre-production and production environments distributed across colocated datacenter and cloud platforms
• Drive automation processes using methodologies for infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and configuration management with tools such as Octopus Deploy, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira, Visual Studio Team Services, and Powershell DSC
• Configuration and management of Windows Server systems and Microsoft Azure resources
• Monitoring and maintenance of mission-critical components across on-prem and cloud-based environments
• Work with security team to design and implement practices for securely managing and deploying technology stack
• Participate in after hours on-call rotation

Qualifications:

• 3+ years working in an Operations role in a SaaS environment
• Solid understanding of Microsoft technology stack – Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, Powershell, IIS, .Net, SQL, Azure PaaS
• Experience with source control and CI/CD tools such as Octopus Deploy, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Nexus, SVN
• Strong understanding of networking technologies and protocols used for web-based applications, load balancing technologies, application filtering, high availability
• Experience maintaining datacenter assets – servers, blade chassis, networking gear, storage, cabling
• Understanding of challenges pertaining to securing applications over the public internet
