Electrical Assembler

Essential Job Duties:

- Perform a wide variety of electronic and electromechanical subassembly operations of a semiskilled nature to build up and assemble difficult and complex units such as power supplies, modules, chassis drawers, cable harnesses, PC boards, electronic systems, and subassemblies

- Following established methods and procedures builds flexible cable assemblies and rigid assemblies; makes bulk cables, cuts and strips wires, pot, crimps, cleaning operations, marking operations

- Assist in determining methods and sequence of assembly operations where complete information is not readily available or follows assembly shop and production operation sheets, wire lists, samples, blue prints, complicated connection diagrams and verbal instructions to perform a wide variety of assembly operations such as wiring, component installation and hand soldering and or de-soldering

- May perform complex field wiring assemblies

- Disassemble, modify, rework, refurbishes, reassemble and may test unit as required

- Set up and operate automatic and semiautomatic assembly equipment

- May use computer to record work

- Perform complex inspections

- Create and build harness boards

- Handle all electronic components within the guidelines of ESD

- Performs QC on all cable assemblies and filed wiring controllers, point to point

 

Educational and Experience Requirements:

- HS Diploma

- 3-5 years experience in electrical assembly

- IPC-A-610 certified a plus

- IPC 620 certified a plus
