ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

DIRECT HIRE 

Basic Description

The candidate will work closely with senior and junior engineers to design, build, document, and support electromechanical assemblies used in industrial automated test and manufacturing equipment.

 

Critical Responsibilities

  • Deliver compliant solutions which meets or exceeds our customer’s expectations
  • Execution of critical project milestones for all First Time Builds
  • Ensure proper risk reduction and compliance for all assigned projects
     

Responsibilities

  • Become familiar with standard operating procedures and tools while working along side ARC engineers
  • Design, document, prototype and build circuit card assemblies for digital and analog applications
  • Research component choices for suitability of use, alternatives, and cost
  • Use schematic capture and drafting software to produce and refine documentation of automated test systems, circuit cards, cable assemblies and electromechanical interconnects
  • Prepare documentation for and attend technical interchange meetings with customers and vendors
  • Build up parts lists and work with project managers to submit components for purchasing
  • Assist assemblers and operations technicians with the construction of prototype systems
  • Assist software engineers and technicians in troubleshooting and integrating system designs
  • Some local and national travel will be required, but is typically less than 15%

 

Skills

  • An understanding of electronics principles, including component theory and a well-developed ability to read and interpret schematics
  • Experience with the use of contemporary schematic capture software
  • Experience with the use of common test equipment (DMMs, O’scopes, DAQs, Spectrum Analyzers etc.)
  • Self-motivated, proactive with a positive attitude and a willingness to be hands-on with engineering projects
  • Must work well within an engineering team as well as independently and without constant supervision
  • Ability to think and act quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks to ensure deadlines are met
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in engineering and technology outside of academia and work
  • General knowledge of (QMS) Quality Management System

 

Education and Experience

One of the following is required:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field of study, and two years of applied engineering experience relevant to companies core competencies of automated test and measurement - or -
  • An Associates degree in related field plus four years of prior experience in a field relevant to companies core competencies
