Responsibilities
- Under limited supervision and general guidelines, assemble, set up tests, adjust and check electro/mechanical systems
- Maintaining a high level of quality workmanship
- Adhere to production schedules and workloads
- Informing next level of management of any problems relating to work in process
- May maintain and repair test equipment
- Maintain test records and production documentation
- Identify and recommend disposition of defective items
- May perform rework, testing and troubleshooting of failed or returned products
- May assemble or test prototypes from blueprints and/or sketches
- May be called upon to assist with the training of new and less experienced Technicians
- Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area
Essential Qualifications
- Associates in related discipline with greater than four (4) years directly applicable and progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Ability to solder to specified standards
- Ability to operate various types of standard and special test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and calibrators
- Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics and procedures
