We are currently seeking an Estimator in Windsor, CT. As an Estimator your day-to-day duties will consist of and may not be limited to:

  • Prepare cost estimates for new products/programs as well as production related quality, process, and cycle time improvements; working in conjunction with the Commercial and Sales team, Manufacturing Engineers, Tool Designers, C.N.C. Programmers, Quality Assurance and Operations.
  • Keep current on the Division’s manufacturing capabilities and capacity.
  • Review incoming RFQ’s for data to establish bill of materials and outside service operations.
  • Provide the purchasing and outside service group with RFQ requirements.
  • Establish manufacturing sequence and calculate set-up and cycle times for manufacturing.
  • Coordinate and review completed quotes with cross functional team in alignment with Commercial Excellence processes.
  • Liaise with NPI Project Management to identify and address any/all change requests.
  • Compile all required data for quote to meet requested customer response date.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace.
  • Knowledge of CNC and manual Milling, Turning, Machining, Grinding, Sinker and Wire EDM and Benching.
  • Familiarity with various processes like Brazing, Welding, Heat Treatment, plating, and plasma coating.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand part drawings and requirements.
  • Experience with conceptual process design, integrating multiple manufacturing methods for competitive job costing.
  • Must be a team player and have the ability to work in a cross functional environment.
  • Strong foundation in NX (Unigraphics) and MS Office.

Education Requirements:

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering/related discipline or equivalent work experience.
