We are currently seeking a Inspection Gage Control in Holyoke, MA.

Position Summary and Special Duties:

As a (an) your day to day duties will consist of and may not be limited to:

The duties of this position include a wide variety of responsibilities and authorities in the area of Quality Control:

  • Clean and calibrate all internal gauges and instruments according to established recall frequencies and procedures.

  • Schedule calibration services for gauges and instruments which require outside contract (surface plates, hardness testers, comparators, CMM’s, special instruments, etc.).

  • Document and maintain the calibration history in the company’s computer system (Mitutoyo Measurlink Gauge Management).

  • Set up gauge history and calibration requirements for new purchases or special made gauges.

  • Maintain calibration requirements and documentation for employee owned gauges.

  • Set up employee gauge information and calibration requirements for new employees

  • Identify obsolete or dormant gauges no longer used.

  • Report necessary changes on recall frequencies for review and approval to the Quality Control Manager based on useage and condition of gauges.

  • Support 1st pc inspection with all gauges required for the operation, receiving and inspection.

  • Review and maintain all certification records for contracted calibration.

  • Perform gauge R&R as required for frequently used equipment.

  • Report any discrepancies, significantly out of tolerance conditions, broken or missing gauges immediately to the Quality Control Manager or the Quality Engineering Department.

  • Prepare purchase requisitions for calibration services or gauge purchases and submit for review and approval to the Quality Control Manager.

  • This job also performs certain other related work based on requests  from the immediate supervisor in compliance with the AS9100 and ISO13485 Quality Management System.
