HR GENERALIST

 

Responsibilities   

  • Performing tasks required to administer and execute HR programs including, but not limited to, recruitment and onboarding, benefits administration, leave of absence management, employee relations matters, recognition and morale, health and safety, training and development and exit protocol. 

  • Managing recruitment process facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborating with managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.  

  • Preparing and managing job requisition tasks, preparing and posting job advertisements, partnering with managers of recruitment strategy and arranging and participating in interviews as required.  

  • Providing support and guidance to management / staff when employee relations matters arise.  

  • Assisting with finding a resolution to employee relations issues.  May participate in conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations when necessary. 

  • Attending and participating in employee disciplinary meetings and terminations. 

  • Providing HR policy guidance to managers and employees. 

  • Implementing and managing new hire orientation and onboarding activities. 

  • Preparing documentation and making recommendations of offer terms for new hires, promotions and transfers. 

  • Maintaining a sense of confidentiality in all HR related matters such as personnel matters, employee relations, benefits, leave of absences, terminations and organizational changes and the planning and protecting of the security of this information, data and files.  

  • Handling day to day HRBP administration and ensuring lines of communication related to these activities are shared with the Director of Human Resources in a timely manner.  

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree  

  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related best practices laws and regulations

  • 7 + years of experience working directly in an HR department in an HR Generalist capacity 

  • Looking for excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and multitask  

  • Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills  

  • Able to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targets, and maintain reports and files  

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
