Import Export Specialist
- Coordinate and participate in activities to enable shipments of materials on behalf of internal clients to both internal and external domestic and international collaborators
- Communicate with Import Export (I/E) leads, global operations, and external partners as necessary for shipping requirements and documentation
- Prepare accurate shipping documentation
- Document and track shipments
- Ensure the proper use of Harmonized Tariff System (HTS) codes and Inco-terms
- Ensure all required I/E permits are in place to enable safe and efficient movement of materials
- Maintain close communication with distribution organizations, site contacts, and external partners to ensure shipments are anticipated and shipped in a timely manner
- Assist with data population within internal systems
Job Qualifications / Characteristics/Skills:
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills, detail oriented, multi-task effectively and able to meet deadlines
• Familiar with GMPs
• Clinical Supply Systems familiarity
• Familiar with project management tools and mindset; PMP and/or APICs certification (preferred)
• Operational management experience
• Preferred: Experience with international freight movement, understanding of US HTS, Schedule B, and ECCN classification systems, proficient with MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
