Maintenance Technician
(2nd Shift)
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to; mechanical, electrical, welding, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
- Start each shift by performing a walk-through of the entire plant to check on equipment and check in with operators regarding any problems they might have
- Communicate parts inventory to manager as it is depleted
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
- Perform a variety of plumbing and carpentry functions
- Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
- Perform other tasks or projects as assigned
- Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements at all times and notify management of violations of these policies
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires a minimum of a high school diploma/GED
- Applicants should have minimum 2 years experience with welding, plumbing, basic electrical (low voltage to 480 VAC, single and 3 phase), and machine repair
- Must be detail oriented, ability to multi-task and have excellent follow-up skills
- Self-motivational personality with exceptional attendance and punctuality
- Ability to perform job duties with a sense of urgency
- Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times
