Manufacturing Engineer



  • Managing the transfer of engineering designs to the contract manufacturing supply base
  • Development of manufacturing and assembly processes for large scale equipment that includes fluid systems, structural components, instrumentation, and electrical systems
  • Designing assembly and test equipment/fixtures when required
  • Creating work instructions, specifications, and procedures
  • Managing component qualification such as First Article Inspections (FAI), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility Studies (Gage R&R), Statistical Process Control (SPC) programs
  • Engineering documentation management with supply base including initial releases, design reviews, change control and implementation, deviation management
  • Management of Bills of Material (BOM), Approved Manufacturer Lists (AML), Cost tracking and management
  • Continuous Improvement and value engineering efforts to support product cost reduction targets
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of failures, deviations, out-of-control processes and excessive fall out
  • Participation in the process Failure Modes and Effect Analysis pFMEA) process and coordination with sub-contractors


  • Bachler’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline is required;
  • 5+ years of experience in a production environment;
  • Experience bringing new products from engineering to high volume production;
  • Preferred experience in 3D CAD, especially PTC Creo a plus;
