Requirements:
- Experience with electro-mechanical sub-assemblies and assemblies
- Experience with conducting laboratory experiments, compiling data and generating reports
- Have an understanding of design tolerances and dimensioning
- Experience with all phases of the product development lifecycle
- Strong working knowledge of CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in DFMA and transfer to manufacturing and sustaining engineering
- Excellent analytical & problem solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in the planning, designing, development, documentation, and testing/debugging of complex mechanical systems
- Design and develop tools, fixtures, assemblies to support manufacturing
- Apply knowledge and understanding of materials and part manufacturing methodologies to ensure successful development of products
- Create complete engineering drawing packages (i.e. fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, etc.) for new and existing products as required
- Participate in design reviews of tools, fixtures, assemblies and/or sub-assemblies
- Review mechanical engineering documents and documentation
- Provide input for design specifications and test plans
- Coordinate and assist in change control
?Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline; Master’s Degree a plus
- 5+ years in a Mechanical Engineering & Product Development position
