Mechanical Engineer

Requirements:

• Experience with electro-mechanical sub-assemblies and assemblies
• Experience with conducting laboratory experiments, compiling data and generating reports
• Have an understanding of design tolerances and dimensioning
• Experience with all phases of the product development lifecycle
• Strong working knowledge of CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks preferred)
• Demonstrated experience in DFMA and transfer to manufacturing and sustaining engineering
• Excellent analytical & problem solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in the planning, designing, development, documentation, and testing/debugging of complex mechanical systems
• Design and develop tools, fixtures, assemblies to support manufacturing
• Apply knowledge and understanding of materials and part manufacturing methodologies to ensure successful development of products
• Create complete engineering drawing packages (i.e. fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, etc.) for new and existing products as required 
• Participate in design reviews of tools, fixtures, assemblies and/or sub-assemblies
• Review mechanical engineering documents and documentation
• Provide input for design specifications and test plans
• Coordinate and assist in change control

?Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline; Master’s Degree a plus
• 5+ years in a Mechanical Engineering & Product Development position
