OEM Customer Care/Inside Sales Rep

Job Function
To provide our major/OEM accounts with timely responses, accurate information and service. Quoting & follow-up for product portfolio. Responsible for the day-to-day order processing, sales support and customer care activities for assigned accounts which includes: serve as a liaison between internal resources (field sales, engineering, marketing, purchasing, production, quality, and shipping) vendor resources and the customer.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
Establish and retains strong and influential customer, supplier and internal relationships
Provide all customer service functions, resolve issues and expedite, for assigned territories
Responsible for handling incoming customer service calls and routing them appropriately
Receive and enter customer purchase orders
Receive, process and review request for quotes. Present and follow-up on requests for quotes with customer and/or outside sales representatives
Prepare paperwork to create and maintain customer part numbers from new drawings and/or revisions
Receive and process return material authorizations
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES AND ABILITIES)
2+ year College Degree is preferred (or relevant work experience in lieu of)
Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in office environment
Attention to detail
Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Outlook experience
Excellent verbal & written communication and organizational skills
Professional telephone manner
Strong Relationship building skills
Team Player
Ability to act independently or with minimal supervision
Technical background in manufacturing or electronics industry is preferred
Familiar with ERP system, preferably JD Edwards
VMI & EDI experience
Ability to handle deadlines
Ability to travel to customers and factory locations for training
