RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure proper staffing levels are in place to meet current and projected business forecasts
- Responsible for coworker performance evaluation and wage administration
- Create a safety conscientious environment where coworkers adhere to safety standards and procedures; participate in monthly safety meetings, safety inspections, and toolbox safety talks
- Drive quality standards of products received, produced and shipped to the customer
- Maintain and grow both customer and vendor relationships in order to achieve mutually agreed up on results
- Review financial statements, sales reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement
- Formulate annual budgets supported by sales and marketing strategies
- Formulate and seek approval for all major capital projects at the location
- Maintain and grow relationships with other locations within the company as appropriate
- Participate in strategic planning sessions, including SWOT analysis, 3-year planning cycle, and quarterly action plans
- Implement and help establish, when needed, company policies, goals, objectives, and procedures
- Manage the movement of goods into and out of production facilities
- Direct non-production departments including warehouse, receiving, and shipping
- Provide a workplace environment that is conducive to recruiting and retaining coworkers; encourages growth and development; and treats workers with dignity and respect
- Along with site HR contact, provide a workplace environment free of discrimination, harassment, and substance abuse
- Maintain all capital facilities and equipment in a secure, clean, working and safe manner
- Assure accurate and timely reporting on all productivity, quality, fulfillment and financial information
- Conduct thorough accident investigations with corrective action input and comprehensive action plans
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education: Bachelor's Degree required; Management, Operations, Engineering, or Supply Chain disciplines a plus.
Experience: 7 years of operations leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
