Packaging Technician – Full Time

Reporting to the packaging supervisor, A packaging technician is responsible for final assembly of a variety of manufactured products. The packaging technician is a support role for several areas within production. The position requires knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures; and relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions and set priorities for this job.  This person will be responsible accurate packaging and intermediate inspection of final products this line produces to ensure conformance and customer packaging specifications.

Primary Responsibilities:

Working as a member of the Packaging department from 8:00am-4:00pm; Monday - Friday this individual will be responsible for:

• Supporting various packaging functions such as but not exclusively, to bagging and boxing various products
• Assisting in inventory of storage freezers
• Assisting in the gathering of specific items for packing from work orders
• Organizing paperwork, vials and other materials necessary for packaging
• Operating top sealers and printers, and possibly other basic machines if needed
• General packaging assistance for other members within Packaging and Production
• Perform detailed inspections of semi-finished and finished goods to verify conformance to all product specifications
• Assist in the management of inventory for standard and customer-specific packaging supplies

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED   
• Strong attention to detail with ability to multi-task with efficiency and accuracy
• Demonstrated commitment to quality and accuracy
• History of reliability and ability to work effectively within a team
• Possess basic computer skills
