Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Process all payrolls using ADP Workforce Now including time and attendance system.
Support and work with HR to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
Resolve employee pay issues.
Process garnishment of wages.
Review payroll tax filings.
Process payroll-related tax issues.
Prepare manual checks.
Process year-end W-2's and related year-end filings.
Prepare journal entries to record labor & payroll related accruals; reconcile various payroll related accountsto general ledger; reconcile ADP system with general ledger system results of general ledger accountreconciliations.
Prepare 401k contribution summary and employer-match reports and wire transfer paperwork,
Assist & prepare supporting schedules in support of annual audit of 401k plan & Workers’ CompensationPlans by outside accountants.
ADP Workforce Now time and attendance administration.
Prepare Canadian payroll & support & oversee new payroll cycles that occur as the Company expands itsoperations.
Prepare schedules in support of workers compensation, financial statement, 401(K), tax and SOX audits.
Stay abreast of changes in federal/state legislation affecting payroll.
Oversee and manage Company’s vehicle reimbursement program
Assist and in systems implementations impacting payroll.
Other duties as needed.
Requirements:
Degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.
ADP – Workforce Now experience required, SAP experience preferred.
3-5 years of progressive payroll experience.
Attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
Knowledge and experience with federal, local and multi state payroll tax laws.
Must be able to handle sensitive information confidentially.
Solid understanding of tax-related compensation and fringe benefits compensation issues.
Must be a team player.
Must be dependable and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong computer skills, including strength in MS Office
