PC / Electronics Technician

PC ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN

Job Responsibilities include: 

• Detects and corrects PC hardware and software errors; provides solutions to correct errors 

• Tracking assemblies to be tested/repaired 

• Cleaning of assemblies to be tested/repaired 

• Disassembly of products to obtain electronic assemblies to be tested/repaired 

• Using schematics or drawings for testing and repair 

• Maintaining a clean and orderly test/repair area 

• Troubleshoots electronics to determine root cause and remedy of any malfunction 

• Performs required repairs to return units to operational state 

• Set up and test units to meet specified requirements 

• Recognizes failures and set up problems, isolates problems, and takes appropriate action. 

• Operate power supplies, test jigs and understands their use and function 

• Operates hand tools and small power tools and understands their use and function 

• Document test and repair results in computer database 

• Assist in training new employees. 

Job Requirements:  

• Must possess problem solving skills. Strong ability to troubleshoot in a logical manner 

• Clear verbal and written communication 

• Must have good manual dexterity and soldering skills 

• Must have computer skills 

• Generate failure analysis and problem reports in our system 

• Must be able to seat or stand for a long period of time 

• Working knowledge of a range of PC diagnostic utilities
