PLC-HMI Programmer

 

 

The position will be responsible the design, programming and implementation of control and data collection systems for custom manufacturing and test equipment. 

 

· Upgrade existing PLC based control systems on manufacturing equipment.

· Design & programming of control systems for new custom manufacturing equipment.

· Controls of stepper motors for precision, repeatable movement.

· Interfacing of PC (Excel/ VB programs) with HP/ Agilent test equipment to automate test data collection.

· Troubleshooting of existing manufacturing equipment control systems.

· Provide recommendations on ways to automate & improve existing manufacturing processes.

 

· B.S Degree in Engineering or equivalent transferable experience.

· Minimum 2 Years’ Experience in developing controls for manufacturing equipment.

· Proficient in PLC & HMI Programming.

· Ability to design all aspects of control systems for Manufacturing Equipment.

· Experience interfacing with multiple stepper motors to precisely control motion.

· Experience integrating Excel/ VB with HP/Agilent test equipment.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office.

· Proficient with CAD (SolidWorks preferred).

· Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits in controls systems.

· Well organized with excellent documentation skills.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Ability to multitask & work in a dynamic, fast paced manufacturing environment.

· Ability to work both independently and as a team member.

 

· Familiarity with GPIB or other test equipment interface.

· Familiarity with Schneider, IMS, Anaheim Automation or Mitsubishi PLC systems.

· Experience with developing windows based programs to interface with motor controls.

· Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment.
