Lighthouse Professional Services is seeking an Auditor to join a client in White Plains, NY.SummaryConduct internal audit activities within the organization, including providing independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve the organization's operations. Internal audit is intended to assist the organization in accomplishing its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. Internal Audit is accountable for developing and implementing a risk-based internal audit plan, assisting management in complying with applicable internal control policies and regulations, and working with management to bring cost effective and efficient leading practices. Internal Audit has the authority to perform internal audit and consultative services, have access to necessary data when requested, obtain assistance of Authority personnel as needed. Activities may include audits of financial, operational, IT, compliance/regulatory, or strategic business functions and related risks and controls. May also include execution of special investigations/audits involving cases of fraud, waste, and abuse and/or ethical/regulatory complaints. Operate as ambassador and champion of the Internal Audit vision and strategy by demonstrating support and actively communicating with the audit team and the business.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate key risks and internal controls, develop and/or review audit programs/risk & control matrices, benchmark financial and operational processes and controls, and participate in annual risk assessment activities.Perform testing procedures including detailed tests of controls including sampling/confidence levels, analytical procedures, Computer Assisted Auditing Techniques (CAATs), to address risks identified.Identify/document audit observations, root cause, risk/exposure, and recommendations for improvement.Create high quality deliverables, document audit work performed and results by preparing work papers, narratives, and flow charts for audit areas in scope.Collaborate directly with clients and the internal audit team, participate in client discussions and meetings, and identify client concerns.Remain current on business and utility industry trends and NYPA-related strategic initiatives and share with the team.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of COSO, GAAP, FERC, FASB and IIA standards, and basic understanding of IT general controls.Ability to plan, organize, manage time and deadlines, and execute assignments on large complex audits.Strong verbal, written, negotiation, and presentation communications skills.Ability to acquire, analyze and interpret large volumes of data to identify potential audit observations and develop practical recommendations.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio .Education, Experience and CertificationsBachelor’s degree.Minimum 2 (two) years audit experience.Physical RequirementsApproximately 20% - 25% travel primarily within New York State.The target salary range for this position is: $95,000 - $115,000. The salary offered will be determined based on the successful candidates’ relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

OverviewThe Director of Payroll will be responsible for managing and overseeing all payroll procedures for the organization. Manage a team of Payroll Specialists to ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations and collective bargaining agreements. Core ResponsibilitiesOversees the day-to-day payroll processing to ensure all payroll tasks to include commission payroll to the field force, are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Verifies payroll data for completeness and accuracy to ensure data in ADP is correct.Develops and articulates a short-term and long-term strategic vision for areas of responsibility.Manages, plans, organizes, and evaluates the staff and activities in support of an assigned area of Payroll.Collaborating with outsourced provider (ADP) to streamline payroll processes and addressing any issues.Selects, develops, manages, and evaluates direct reports; manages and implements staffing requirements and ensures customer service levels are met and ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely fashion.Serving as a point of contact for employees regarding payroll-related questions, issues and concerns.Collaborating with HR, Finance, and Field Management departments to ensure information is integrated as expected to the payroll system.Partners with Corporate Finance and Tax to advise on upcoming special pays and resolve any financial discrepancies or issues; partners with Legal and HR team to offer guidance on policy and pay practices for union and non-union staff, as necessary.Liaises with HR and Field Management in planning processes to assist in developing solutions to improve the overall efficiency of Payroll/Commissions; oversees the resolution of complex payroll issues, customer concerns and inquiries and resolves errors related to payroll processing or special pays.As assigned, may oversee bank reconciliation process, payroll general ledger reconciliation, development, payroll year end process, and review of audit reports and inquiries; ensures correction of payment issues prior to closing payroll.Skills QualificationsMust possess a strong understanding of payroll procedures and payroll tax regulations and have experience supervising a team.Must have experience working with multi-state payrolls and union payrolls.Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail required.Must be able to follow-through on pending items and prioritize accordingly.Additionally, must be able to communicate effectively and have ability to work well as a liaison between the staff and senior management.The ideal candidate will have at least 7-10 years of experience in Payroll (ADP) and be able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.In addition, must have advanced Excel skills, including working knowledge of V-lookups and Pivot tables.Must be proficient in using payroll software (ADP Payroll is preferred) and Time & Attendance software.Responsible for change management activities to drive user adoption.Performs project tasks as required to maintain project timelines.Ensures payroll milestones within the project are met on time and delivered with quality.Coaches and mentors payroll project team members. We are currently seeking multiple Function Test Technician in Yonkers, NY.Position Summary and Special Duties:As a (an) Function Test Technician your day-to-day duties will consist of and may not be limited to: Job details. Performs all aspects of work on rail cars being processed through the Yonkers Facility and Commissioning Sites. This includes all electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, modifications and any other duties requested by their supervisor.The position entails working on rail cars in the final assembly process at the Brooklyn’s facility or at a remote site. The technician will use standard hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, etc.) along with his or her ability to perform basic troubleshooting utilizing multi-meters, clamp meters and PC based test/ diagnostic equipment. The technician will read piping diagrams, mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and electrical schematics as required to accomplish the job assignment.The technician will perform test procedures on some the following systems: HVAC, Brakes, Propulsion, Communications systems, Toilet systems, Trainline systems, Sign systems, Automatic train control systems, general functional tests, Hipotential tests, Wining Continuity Tests, Pneumatic Leakage Tests, Dynamic Tests, Burn-in tests, etc.From time to time the Test technician will be required to assist and support the engineering group on various engineering tests.The test technician will interact directly with the customer on a regular basis and must have to ability to communicate clearly the intent and be confident in his or her assignment. Project Overview:This role will support the Strategic Supply Management and will be responsible for performing procurement duties/functions to assist the IT Category reviewing and handling upcoming Software Maintenance renewals. Areas of support also could include Legal and Cyber Security. Job Functions & Responsibilities:Primary focus is to review upcoming Software Maintenance expirations, determine business needs, propose renewal terms and execute new Agreements/Purchase Orders. Ensure all contract documents are in compliance with New York State guidelines. Process Change orders as necessary. Prepare Purchase orders as requested. Post documents to NY State Contract Reporter as required. Attend project meetings, including onsite meetings, as necessary. Maintain diligent and thorough recordkeeping Additional work may include: Preparing RFP’S for company, including bid documents, price inquiries and addendums.
