Procurement Specialist - 6 Months +
Prepare RFP's on behalf of Senior Procurement Agent, and add new RFQs to RFQ Bid Tracking System.
•Draft preliminary Contract Reporter Ad for issuance in the assigned buyer’s name, for all Procurement Division sectors.
•Obtain missing bid/contract submittal requirements.
•Identify potential vendors, as necessary, including available MWBE, MBE and SDVOB vendors for solicitation.
•Develop required contract documents based on RFP results.
•Ensure all contract documents are in compliance
•Process Change orders as necessary.
• Prepare Purchase orders as requested.
•Assemble unsuccessful bid proposals for transmittal to IRC storage. Retrieve contract files from IRC, as requested.
•Assist in MWBE contract award data collection for the Supplier Diversity Program.
•Maintain contract awards on the RFP website for senior procurement staff.
•Ensure adherence to various NYS requirements such as MWBE, SBE, submittal of properly completed forms and appendices etc., as directed and supervised.
•Prepare of Change Orders and/or Purchase Order Releases.
Skills
Strong understanding of procurement processes required.
•Understanding of Terms and Conditions.
•Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and SAP required.
•Ability to multi-task and remain flexible to changes to priorities and workload.
•Ability to handle routine to semi-complex contract documents is required
Education & Certifications ?
•Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field. Or a minimum of 4 years of military experience in logistics.
•Minimum 4 years of Procurement or related experience with focus on construction/equipment contracts, service contracts, and maintenance service agreements.
•Minimum 6 years of utility purchasing experience, preferred.
•Advancement towards Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) designation, preferred.
