Production Supervisor

 

Essential Job Duties:

  • Balance quality, on time delivery to customers, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Works to continuously improve in all areas
  • Manage the scheduling of production: set work schedules, provide training, development and coaching, conduct performance evaluations, and assist in setting departmental goals and expectations
  • Suggest improving systems of production control, standard operating procedure, safety, quality control, and performance management
  • Ensure that discrepancy reports are written and quality issues are addressed
  • Conduct, lead, or implement the appropriate process audits; the audits will identify the need for the appropriate containment, corrective, and preventive actions, leading to minimizing or eliminating process deviations and non-conforming product root causes
  • Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines
  • Provide input to Manager regarding hiring and retention, performance review and improvement
  • Create purchase requisition for all production tools and supplies as required
  • Balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee relations
  • Oversee project orders as deemed by the Operations Director, from material kitting, assembly, testing, and shipping

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • HS Diploma required
  • 3-5 years of prior supervisory/lead experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Knowledge of ISO
  • Excellent computer skills in a windows environment, MRP/ERP systems; MS Office
