QA Mechanical Inspector - 2nd Shift

Quality Assurance Mechanical Inspector to work in a in a dynamic, fast paced Medical Device Research, Development, and Manufacturing environment.  1st and 2nd shift roles available.

Responsibilities: 

• Manage incoming inspection logistics
• Liaison with Project Managers to manage priorities of inspections 
• Identify and specify inspection equipment
• Proficient with GD&T
• Perform inspection of purchased components / material and manufactured product according to specifications
• Developing inspection techniques and selection of equipment for efficient inspections 
• Participate in the development and/or revision of Inspection methods and procedures
• Participate in Material Review Board meetings for disposition of rejected material
• Review proposed process changes that apply to the inspection function

Requirements:

• Ability to set up inspections for very intricate components with tight tolerances
• Proficient measurement skills utilizing measuring equipment
  • CMMs 
  • Vision systems
  • Micrometers, calipers, optical comparator
  • Blueprint interpretation
• Computer skills and knowledge of software tools for inspection
• Familiarity with standard sampling plans
• Proper handling of Electro-static discharge (ESD) sensitive components
• Printed circuit board assembly / solder quality inspection experience

Experience and Education:

• Three to five years experience in a machine shop or inspection environment
• Managing inspection process and personnel
• Mechanical Engineering experience
• Certified Inspector, BS in a technical field a plus
