Immediate opening for a Quality Assurance Mechanical Inspector to work in a dynamic, fast-paced Medical Device Research, Development, and Manufacturing environment. This person needs to be highly motivated and well organized to perform incoming inspection activities.  This is a high visibility role that has significant and direct impact on the success of projects.

Responsibilities:

• Perform inspection of purchased components / material and manufactured product according to specifications
• Developing inspection techniques and selection of equipment for efficient inspections
• Participate in the development and/or revision of Inspection methods and procedures
• Participate in Material Review Board meetings for disposition of rejected material

Requirements:

• Ability to set up inspections for very intricate components with tight tolerances
• Proficient with G, D & T
• Proficient with Blueprint interpretation
• Proficient measurement skills utilizing measuring equipment:
• CMMs
• Vision systems
• Micrometers, calipers, optical comparator
• Computer skills and knowledge of software tools for inspection
• Familiarity with standard sampling plans
• Proper handling of Electro-static discharge (ESD) sensitive components
• Printed circuit board assembly / solder quality inspection experience

Experience and Education:

• Three to five years’ experience in a machine shop or inspection environment
• Mechanical Engineering experience
• Certified Inspector, BS in a technical field a plus
