Quality Engineer (2)

Responsibilities

• Reviewing of purchase orders, customer specifications and drawings
• Working with the engineers to develop the quality plans within our manufacturing work instructions, tool gage concepts review and approval and the First Article Inspection plans
• Providing requirement flow to company suppliers
• Developing, defining and initiating standards and methods of inspection
• Providing guidance to inspection, operators and Engineering to assure compliance to specifications, Customer requirements and Regulatory agencies
• Integrating with Engineering to ensure flow down of key characteristics, and to develop effective quality control plans
• Reviewing travelers for material, special processing requirements and manufacturability
• Driving improvement projects
• Flowing down Customer requirements to Purchasing
• Performing Internal Audits
• Performing the root cause and corrective action system training
• Designing and developing inspection fixtures, tools and gages

Minimum qualifications:

• 2 years experience as a Quality Engineering Technician or higher level role
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Working knowledge of Drawings Interpretation and GD&T
• Working knowledge of  various machining operations, Quality Assurance systems, calibration and gauging
