Controls general ledger (G/L) activity and monthly closings. Monitors account reconciliations. Prepares or oversees preparation of various monthly and quarterly management accounts and supporting schedules. Assists with preparation of Quarterly and Annual statements and audited financial statements and accompanying footnotes, as needed. Assists with preparation of year-end schedules for external audit and appropriate year end surveys as required by rating agencies and associations. Demonstrates an advanced capability to work with accounting standards.Core ResponsibilitiesControls general ledger activity and closing of general ledger each month, including insurance operations, investment management entities, and charitable entities (U.S. 501(c) (3) and Canadian Not-for-Profit entities).Oversees monitoring of monthly account reconciliations prepared by business areas.Prepares or oversees preparation of depreciation, expense account analysis and allocation schedules.Assists with preparation of quarterly and annual statements using SAP S/4 Hanna, and annual audited financial statements and accompanying footnotes, as needed.Prepares monthly, quarterly, or year-end schedules, as requested by management, external auditor, and various year-end surveys.Contributes to process improvement initiatives that enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting. Project Overview:This role will support the Strategic Supply Management and will be responsible for performing procurement duties/functions to assist the IT Category reviewing and handling upcoming Software Maintenance renewals. Areas of support also could include Legal and Cyber Security. Job Functions & Responsibilities:Primary focus is to review upcoming Software Maintenance expirations, determine business needs, propose renewal terms and execute new Agreements/Purchase Orders. Ensure all contract documents are in compliance with New York State guidelines. Process Change orders as necessary. Prepare Purchase orders as requested. Post documents to NY State Contract Reporter as required. Attend project meetings, including onsite meetings, as necessary. Position Summary and Key Responsibilities:As a Tool Room Manager you will be responsible for managing the overall operation of the Toolroom, maintaining goals of cavitation, down hours, and expenses, and interfacing with other departments on a continual basis. This role demands hands on experience in tool and die, injection molds, or jigs & fixtures, actually building not just design. Key Responsibilities:Responsible for monitoring Mattec system for presses down due to mold repairs. Tracks mold repair downtime. Assesses mold conditions and takes appropriate action.Collaborates with other departments on tooling issues, troubleshoots problems on the shop floor and provides technical support when needed. Participates in root cause analysis relative to tooling issues.Establishes and maintains preventative maintenance systems and leads continuous improvement efforts.Assists engineering department in monitoring new mold construction, operations, and preventative maintenance schedules. Schedules mold repairs to ensure continuous improvement of mold quality.Works directly with Sales, Quality Control, and Engineering to resolve customer complaints.Responsible for personnel within the Tool Room including but not limited to administering company policies, tracking time & attendance, assigning jobs to Tool Room personnel, monitoring work performance I progress and quality of work, and performing training activities. Assess and address Tool Room equipment needs and maintain mold configuration listing. Attends, assists, and/or coordinates a variety of monthly/weekly meetings such as staff meetings, product design review, tooling improvement, etc.Acts as a Tooling Engineer and/or Tool Room GL as needed.
