Quotations Manager

Reporting to VP - Global Product Management

Direct Hire/Permanent

Purpose:

  • Manage the Quotations department, coordinating the work of others, providing daily leadership to the department, Implementing a cohesive global quotation method that can be utilized in a systemic approach that can be applied in all regions of the globe. The application of the quoted authorization levels, and escalates the low profit contribution products to product management for further review.  
  • Responsible to lead business improvement projects and coordinate activities across departments as needed. Analyze all Ship and Debit rebate requests from Distributors and audit as applicable.
Responsibilities: 
  • Serve as the Quotes focal point for the organization at local office as well as other global regions
  • Manage day to day activities of the quotations department and insure the department is meeting the business requirements with appropriate through put of one shots, renewals, SPAs and bill  backs.
  • Audits and verifies Ship & Debit credit requests in accordance to the quoted documentation
  • Processes claims within the guidelines of the Bill-back Policy
  • Responsible for Quote renewals for designated customers
  • Oversee Ship & Debit rebate process
  • Prepare monthly quotes team reports and provide to the Global VP of Product Management
  • Train new and existing employees on procedures and processes related to the group
  • Coordinate and implement project work and changes to projects
  • Leads the implementation of new processes and procedures to improve throughput of renewals, rebates and quotes
  • Issues credit due customer
  • Charges back Customer for any monies due
  • Assists in quoting during busy periods and vacations
  • Processes rebate/credit amounts requested and reports any discrepancies found
  • Charges back Customer for any monies due

  • Create a quotation method utilizing the current JDE quotation tool that allow for reporting out of JDE into Cognos a metric that allows for tracking our success at meeting market pricing requirements
  • Quotation Reporting output monthly to BL & Sales management with follow up and activities for improvement

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical working experience
  • Seven year’s experience in Customer Service/Inside Sales
  • Good verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Microsoft Word
  • Advanced Excel
  • JDE & Cognos familiarity
