Senior Accountant
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all day-to-day financial, banking and accounting operations
- Responsible for weekly reporting on finance status to the board through cash-flow planning
- Responsible for weekly cash and monthly bank reconciliations
- Initiates EFT payments in bank system
- Responsible for running month-end ERP closing, after-hours to not create any company downtime
- Posting journal entries and reconciling all general ledger including prepaid and accrual accounts
- Reconciliation of all company benefit accounts (medical, dental, life, etc…) and assists HR with any issues
- Prepares financial statements on a quarterly basis
- Sets Up & maintains yearly department budgets and assures that expenditures get proper approval if not an approved budget expense
- Provides required information & assistance for all audits
- Provides required information & assistance for completion of tax return by outside CPA firm
- Advises management on matters of fiscal procedure and importance for the organization
- Responsible for managing and controlling spending for all company credit cards
- Responsible for managing company cell phones
- Responsible for optimizing finance/accounting processes in order to support continued improvement
?Knowledge/Skills
- Must have advanced Excel skills including vlookups and pivot tables
- Must have great attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent ability to organize and prioritize
- Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Knowledge of accrual accounting is required
Education/Training Experience
Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Business Management Required
