Senior Electrical Engineer

 

Responsibilities:

  • Providing the Director of Sustaining Engineering or designated Project Manager with project task list details, scheduling information, and status reports
  • % - Writing or revising hardware requirement, schematic, bill of material, design verification plan, tolerance analysis, component stress analysis, and / or hazard analysis documentation as needed to accommodate design changes to existing products
  • Writing design verification reports for engineering and / or Manufacturing changes to existing products
  • Executing in-house and supervising out-of-house qualification tests, especially for product EMC compliance verification
  • Participates in hardware requirement, schematic, PCB artwork, qualification test plan, electrical tolerance, component stress, and hazard analysis reviews
  • Assist in the determination of root cause, corrective, and / or preventive actions associated with product anomalies or failures

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in the design of highly reliable and manufacturable analog and mixed-signal electronic systems, circuits, and components for small-signal through high voltage applications
  • Proficiency in electronic system, circuit, and component modeling as a means of analyzing product performance, worst-case tolerances, and component stresses
  • Knowledge of EMI measurement and mitigation techniques
  • Working knowledge of digital circuit design
  • Medical product design experience a definite plus
  • Familiarity with medical device safety agency approval processes such as UL or ETL a plus
  • Working knowledge of high-reliability Manufacturing processes, design-for-manufacturing constraints, and in-circuit test / inspection methods is a plus
  • Ability to interpret C or C++ code is a plus

Required/Preferred Education and Experience:

  • BSEE or equivalent degree; MSEE is preferred
  • Requires a minimum of 8 years of electrical engineering and circuit design experience
