The Business System Analyst will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of new requirements for medium to complex technical projects.  Responsibilities are more than just collecting, formalizing, and communicating requirements.  The role includes non-technical project management of all aspects related to the new requirements.  Responsibilities also include post analysis work (both data and process centric) to monitor and ensure the new requirements are implemented properly as well as stated and socialized in specifications documents.  This role will primarily focus on qualifying and creating user stories during the priority setting and Sprint Release cycles.



  • Lead requirements gathering sessions between Technical and Business/Clients stakeholders.
  • Analyze current application functionality and system flows to determine requirement gaps.
  • Devise an overall functional architecture and solution in partnership with the Enterprise Architect and Development/Technical Leads on how the system can meet the business requirements.
  • Translate requirements from Business stakeholders into formalized technical/functional specifications documentation that can be utilized by Application Development teams for design and code modification/enhancements as well as QA and UAT teams.
  • Prioritize requirements and negotiate on deployment timeframes on behalf of the development team.
  • Manage all non-technical aspects of the new requirements and must be able to deliver within short timeframes.
  • Produce ad-hoc SQL queries/ad-hoc reports to validate specifications as well as to monitor success of the new feature/functionality via data validation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and with clients for design, technical, and implementation discussions.
  • Participates in special projects and perform other duties as required or assigned.




  • Bachelor Degree is required. Computer Science/Information Systems degrees are preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of business system /technical analysis experience
  • Experience with Salesforce a must, Salesforce Health Cloud or other healthcare focused CRM solution is a plus
  • Excellent communications skills – both written and oral to effectively elicit, facilitate, interpret and articulate requirements
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization across all departments
  • Possess the ability and desire to maintain focus on defining effective user stories that align to the scope and requirements of the business partners, including the ability probe for understanding and push-back on in-process scope additions that put the release at risk.
  • Critical thinking skills are an absolute. Data-driven, analytical with strong problem solving skills 
  • Self-motivated, high energy and a team player, who takes complete ownership of their actions and drives for results
  • Expert level management of multiple tasks supported by strong detail orientation, self-motivation and team orientation are required
  • Familiarity with fundamental application design and development approaches, including user interface, ETL, rules processing, data integration, services, etc
  • Proficient knowledge level of SQL (must be able to develop more than basic queries) and working knowledge of relational data structures / models / relationships are required.
  • Agile experience is a must.
  • Experience with UML (class diagrams, sequence diagrams, state diagrams, etc.) is preferred
  • Ability to collaborate with business, technology colleagues, Project Management Office (BPO) and vendors / client.
  • Possess a familiarity and working knowledge of the Atlassian Jira and Confluence tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, specifically Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Healthcare experience is a must.
