Tack Welder

Prefer Technical HS diploma and has this type of experience...must have some hand welding exp. 

• Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process, including weld requirement symbology

• Work with stainless steel only
• Set up and calibrate power supply with the correct welding program
• Perform tack welds
• Maintain regular checks on welding equipment ensuring that machines are operating properly
• Work towards welder certification training

• Plan work and selects proper tools working within precise limits or standards of accuracy
• Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings

• Compare and see differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects

• Manipulate parts to match print and dimensional specifications
• Complete parts to acceptable standards insuring customer satisfaction

• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
• Join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate tack welding techniques

• Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for stainless steel material
• Work with conventional and precision measuring instruments
• May conduct process and peer inspection
• May perform limited E/M assembly
