  • Under limited supervision and general guidelines, assemble, set up tests, adjust and check electro/mechanical systems
  • Maintaining a high level of quality workmanship
  • Adhere to production schedules and workloads
  • Informing next level of management of any problems relating to work in process
  • May maintain and repair test equipment
  • Maintain test records and production documentation
  • Identify and recommend disposition of defective items
  • May perform rework, testing and troubleshooting of failed or returned products
  • May assemble or test prototypes from blueprints and/or sketches
  • May be called upon to assist with the training of new and less experienced Technicians
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area

Essential Qualifications

  • Associates in related discipline with greater than four (4) years directly applicable and progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Two years of directly applicable and progressively responsible experience may be substituted for each year of education
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations
  • Ability to solder to specified standards
  • Ability to operate various types of standard and special test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and calibrators
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics and procedures
  • Ability to troubleshoot down to the component level
  • Ability to perform failure mode analysis on failed products
