 “Tool Room Machinist”. 

 “Tool Room Machinist”. A candidate who is highly skilled in manual machining. Using mills and lathes for precise operations. Also able to use or learn Conversational Programming on small CNC mills/lathes. Candidate will setup and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts. Applying knowledge of machining procedures, shop mathematics, metal properties, and layout. Will be given a variety of milling and turning jobs, in some cases with limited instruction and no existing fixtures. Must be able to position and fasten work pieces, align and secure holding fixtures, select cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and setup materials onto machine. Will machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as Manual Mills/Lathes, Drill Press, Sanders, Grinders, and other support equipment.
