Insurance Appeals Specialist

We are currently seeking an Insurance Appeals Specialist for a client in Suffern, NY (HYBRID).Duration: 3-6-Month Contract (benefits eligible)Location: Suffern, NY Hybrid (on-site initially for training)Pay Rate: $23-$27/hour depending on experience Job Summary:Seeking an experienced Appeals Specialist, playing a pivotal role in our Accounts Receivable Dept. The ideal candidate will conduct thorough reviews of denials and appropriately work denials with medical records and/or appeals via set protocols in a timely and professional manner.Responsibilities:Compose and submit all required documentation (including appropriate medical records to support medical necessity) for a reconsideration or appeal to an insurance carrier via payer portal fax or mail.Utilize appropriate applications to accurately track appeals to include tracking of success rates.Gather and fill out any payer specific forms and letters.Effectively manage and work to maintain timely responses to denials within specific deadlines.Establish tracking mechanism for appropriate follow-up on appeals submitted.Qualifications:Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, ICD10 and procedural modifiersProficient with Excel, Word and OutlookStrong organization and time management skills. Ability to communicate effectively in writing, over the telephone, and in-person while always remaining HIPAA compliantEducation and Experience:High school diploma (college degree a plus)Two years of experience in medical billing with a healthcare facility or billing companyTwo years of experience working appeals for healthcare preferably in the lab space but not required. Rail Car Technician

Field Engineer

As a (an) Field Engineer your day-to-day duties will consist of and may not be limited to: Responsibilities:Performs various sequences of complex troubleshooting and repair techniques on manufacturing equipment’s electrical/electronic or mechanical systems such as (ATC-automatic train control, ACSES-Advanced Civil Speed Enforcement System, Braking system). Applies complex and unique techniques and procedures to analyze, troubleshoot, build up, maintain, and repair complex rail car equipment. Analyze failures to reduce rail car down time, performing root cause analysis, and identifying engineering solutions for rail car up time.Supports all aspects of testing, including Engineering Tests and Conditional Acceptance Testing.Assists in the training of Technicians in accordance with newly issued procedures, FMI.Receives and distributes technical information to site technical work force.Acts as liaison between KRC Project Engineering and Site Technical group, including customer. Monitors technical validity of complaints from customers and work reports from technicians and vendors.Explains and resolves all technical queries to customers at work sites.Monitors the proper maintenance and use of tools and equipment at the work sites. Qualifications:At minimum, must have three to five years’ experience in electrical engineering for rail car, rolling stock or closely related industries or seven (7) years with analytical/trouble shooting of electronic systems preferred.A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required.Must have excellent communication, both written and verbal, schedule control, cost management skills and personal management skills.Must have good computer skills.Proficient bilingual (English/Japanese) verbal and written skills at a business level a plus.Must be capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and also feel comfortable working outdoors and in any weather condition.Must be able to climb stairs and ladders and be able to lift, push or pull a minimum of 40 lbs. As a (an) Quality Control Inspector your day-to-day duties will consist of and may not be limited to: Responsibilities:Performs Quality Control (QC) inspection on parts and sub-assemblies of rail cars. Performs visual inspection of parts and equipment to ensure conformance to quality standards and to identify non-conformance where it occurs. Performs all work according to engineering drawings, written work procedures, and verbal and written instructions.Uses scales, tape, calipers, micrometer, combination-square and other measuring equipment to inspect parts, equipment, and their proper installation to rail car body. Has the capability of using English and Metric systems of measurement.Records data and findings from inspections in inspection reports and related documentation with a high degree of accuracy, completeness, and attention to detail. Demonstrates an excellent mechanical aptitude.The QC Inspector must be able to read and interpret all engineering drawings and blueprints and has a demonstrated proficiency in all inspection phases listed below.
