Mold Maintenance Technician

This role can be someone out of technical school who has some mold making and tool making experience who can grow into the role. The toolroom has been expanded and this is a great company to work for.As a Mold Maintenance Technician your day-to-day duties will consist of and may not be limited to:Disassemble, clean, and assemble molds back for production to achieve 100% cavitation rate at start up.Analyze mold problems, make recommendations and repaid molds as required.When necessary, outsource repairs and/or mold componentsSet up tool room for operating basic tool room equipment for repairs like surface grinder and CNC mills to be able to fabricate, repair or modify mold components.Maintain proper inventory of mold spare parts in CMMS system.Maintain mold history records, e.g. documenting preventative and mold repairs.Warrant daily operation by troubleshooting of injection mold related problems.Establish a working relationship with out German colleagues to exchange mold information.Documenting and getting authorization for deviation of processes related to moldsDisassembly and assembly of molds, including hot runner systems, analyzing basic mold problems, like cooling problems, venting, etc. and repairing them as needed.Repairing and preventive maintenance of mold cavities and cores to ensure continuous production and a smooth operation, troubleshooting and identifying mold issues.Maintain supply of spare parts, processes, and mold & quality records.Assist, lead, or support projects as needed for mold repairs.Assist with the training of co-workers on how to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot molds.Requirements:High School degree and 3-5 years’ hands-on experience as a plastic process technician with state-of-the-art molding equipment.Accepts added responsibilityAbility to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and vendors.German language skills are a significant plus.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commission, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.DETAILS:Duration: Direct HireLocation: Enfield, CTSalary: Depending on ExperienceBenefits: YesShift: 1st Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply immediately!Please include a clean copy of your resume and salary expectations and any references.

CNC Process Engineer will be responsible for the programming, process development and general advancement of the CNC manufacturing cells, including Milling and Wire EDM. Manage inventory for projects which run in SMT. 1-5 years of industry experience or equivalent. IPC 610 Certification preferred. Hand placement of difficult parts. Capable of training and supervising others.
