The individual will work directly with assemblers and engineers to determine document content. The documents we would be looking to have them work on would be Primarily Quality Manual Documents: Quality Operating Procedures, Quality Work Instructions, Detailed Operator Work Instructions. They will revise existing documents as well. This job demands an extrovert with high energy, as they will be tracking down managers to verify information throughout our campus. Key Responsibilities: Under general supervision, may develop, write, and edit material for quality manual documents including Quality Operating Procedures, Quality Work Instructions, Detailed Operator Work Instructions.Under general supervision, may observe production, developmental and experimental activities to document operating procedure and detail. Under general supervision, may interview production and engineering personnel to become familiar with product technologies and production methods. This also includes control tasks to ensure that technical documentation is reviewed on time. Work directly with assemblers and manufacturing engineers to determine document content. Obtain illustrations using digital camera, modeling software, and illustration software. Revise existing documents to conform to engineering and process changes. Check your own and peer writer documents for accuracy and completeness. Work with proprietary enterprise data management system to publish or revise documents. Job Qualifications:Strong organizational skills and written communication skillsExperience writing instructional or procedural documentation.Experience or background in manufacturing.Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience working in a manufacturing environment. DESCRIPTION:Solves engineering-related problems; provide water resource, water quality, distribution system, and water treatment capital and maintenance planning as necessary for the efficient utilization of the companies’ resourcesImplements and leads the Business Case Evaluation process. Performs Business Case Evaluations for capital projects and programs in support of Asset Management practices. Project Overview:The Project Engineer I supports the Customer Project Delivery department in achieving the Business Unit's goals to improve energy efficiency and stimulate new energy technologies in New York State through the implementation of physical projects. The Project Engineer I works with customers to develop projects incorporating energy efficiency measures to reduce the customers' energy consumption. Job Functions & Responsibilities:Represent at customer meetings, design meetings, contractor walk through, and presentations to customers.Prepare engineering calculations, estimates, and cost analyses for feasibility/audit reports.Manage and implement multiple lighting, HVAC, controls, wastewater treatment, and building envelope energy conservation projects and new project development concurrently.Project responsibility can range from 10-15 projects depending on scope.Develop customer installation commitment documents including cost recovery agreements requiring the development of economic analyses and engineering specifications.Track and prepare status reports for all assigned projects.Evaluate project scope, review feasibility reports, make presentations and recommendations, develop design documents and specifications, evaluate bid results, and make recommendations for contract award.Develop and verify engineering, labor and material bid specifications provided by staff and implementation contractors.Ensure that all design, code, licensing and operating and maintenance requirements are met.Review project activities for technical content, accuracy, cost control and schedule.Solve problems related to customer bill savings, design and construction issues. Internal Audit is accountable for developing and implementing a risk-based internal audit plan, assisting management in complying with applicable internal control policies and regulations, and working with management to bring cost effective and efficient leading practices. Internal Audit has the authority to perform internal audit and consultative services, have access to necessary data when requested, obtain assistance of Authority personnel as needed. Activities may include audits of financial, operational, IT, compliance/regulatory, or strategic business functions and related risks and controls. May also include execution of special investigations/audits involving cases of fraud, waste, and abuse and/or ethical/regulatory complaints.
