Overview:This role is responsible for coordinating the program activities and will be part of an existing team of coordinators who are responsible for raising awareness of the company’s programs and initiatives. Candidate must be willing to travel throughout NY State and work outside normal business hours for events. Responsibilities:Develop and implement energy efficiency and educational programs within Environmental Justice communities, schools, state and city organizations consistent with the company’s mission, and goals. Track, monitor and influence government actions that impact the company’s business plan and policies via direct involvement at the local level. Research and report to Manager on issues pertaining to Environmental Justice communities. Actively research opportunities for the company representation in targeted local, regional &/or professional organizations to enhance the company’s profile. Research and report on the field of energy and the environment including but not limited to energy efficiency, energy services, transmission, electric vehicles, climate change, renewable generation & the clean energy marketplace. Recognize opportunities to leverage the company’s community resources to further company goals. Prepare written reports & presentations for management. Skills and Abilities:Highly effective verbal, written & presentation skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in diverse communities, understanding ethnic, social and economic issues. High degree of motivation, with the ability to handle competing priorities, while demonstrating a high level of attention to detail. Ability to undertake significant travel, weekend and evening work to coincide with community events and workshops. Experience in community outreach, curriculum development or account management preferred.Awareness of issues related to energy environment and economic development and the Utility industry. Education:Bachelor’s degree in English, Public Administration, Environmental Studies, Engineering or related field. Position Summary and Special Duties: As a (an) Manufacturing Technician your day-to-day duties will consist of and may not be limited to: As a Manufacturing Technician, you will be able to operate and maintain specialized processing equipment in a clean / dry room environment to formulate, fabricate finished products and the parts that go into in vitro diagnostic reagent kits. You will use tools, small production. equipment, and your hands to keep output high without compromising safety or quality under standard manufacturing processes and cGMP compliance.As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be to:Follow Standard Operating Procedures.Complete process work instructions (Batch Records Use of manufacturing equipment).Operate production equipment such as pipettes, balances, pneumatic equipment, and heat sealers.Assist in troubleshooting process issues.Actively support and participate in continuous improvement projects.Assist in training/ leading of new team members in production activities.Working in a cleanroom environment using personal protective equipment (gloved, gowns, booties, Cap, safety glasses)Clean and sanitize manufacturing and associated support areas.Work in a regulated environment.Recommend solutions to assembly problems regarding fixtures and tools.Seek guidance, as necessary, from supervisor on production issues.Manually clean equipment and perform preventative maintenance.Contribute written documentation, including test plans and work instructions. This includes all electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and any other duties requested by their supervisor.The position entails working on rail cars in the final assembly process at the New Haven facility or at a remote site. The technician will use standard hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, etc.) along with his or her ability to perform basic troubleshooting utilizing multi-meters and PC based test equipment.
