Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician II
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform equipment tear down and evaluation of assorted RF Microwave Components, documenting parts required to complete overhaul and repair
- Ability to disassemble and assemble precision parts per print and/or verbal instructions
- Experience in performing basic high quality hand soldering operations
- Inspection of parts for quality and compliance to drawing details and dimensions
- Maintain a very high level of quality with an acute eye for details
- Masking, demasking and ink marking of parts
- Basic experience in manual machining processes
- Experience in inspecting machined piece parts
- Hand torch soldering experience
- Experienced and comfortable working with power tools and lifting hoists
- Must be able to recognize deficiencies and bring to the attention of supervisor
- Operate hand tools and measuring tools including Drop gauge, Pressure test equipment, Torque meter, and Torque wrenches
- Ability to work directly with technicians and engineers to assure assembled parts meet performance parameters
- Must keep a neat and orderly work area
KNOWLEDGE, STILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must have excellent dexterity with hand to eye coordination
- Experience with milling and lathe machinery
- Experience working around large heavy assemblies and rigging them for safe movement
- Able to read detailed Blue Prints with isometric tolerancing
- Knowledge of in-process assembly procedures
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills within the English language
- Good basic mathematical aptitude required for part dimensioning and stack up
- Must have the flexibility to work overtime as required to meet customer commitments
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School degree
- A Minimum of five years related experience as a Mechanical assembly or precision machinist working on close tolerance assemblies
