Lead Quality Technician

Duties:

• Perform analysis on 1st article inbound parts to verify parts conform to internal drawings. This may require visiting local suppliers in the area.
• Maintain work log used to track inspection throughput
• Reject parts or report discrepancies & potential non-conformances to Quality Manager for disposition
• Manage the calibration schedule and coordinate calibration with an outside supplier
• Put-Away approved parts to stocking locations and rejected parts to reject bins
• Review documentation for compliance to internal and customer requirements
• Lead final tool inspections and document and record results
• Quality leader in division
• Responsible for ensuring rejected materials are properly marked and stored in rejection bins
• Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics
• Enforce preventative measures
• Prepare reports on accidents and violations and determine causes

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• An Associates degree in a technology discipline is desirable
• Prior experience with mechanical part inspections
